Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Find the item by scanning it or searching its name, choose the customer if they are buying on credit, take cash, card or a bank transfer for whatever they pay now, and print the receipt or text it to them.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Point of sale for Ghana's markets and provision stores

Trade in Ghana runs on regular customers, goods taken on credit and prices that follow the cedi. ArmPOS keeps each of those in order, so you know who bought what, who still owes, what is left in the store room and what the day really made.

  • Cash, card or bank transfer

ArmPOS notes whether each customer paid in cash, by card or by bank transfer, and divides a sale between two of them when that is how it was settled. Your reports then show what came in through each method, day by day.

  • Plans priced in cedis, daily

Each paid plan carries a cedi price worked out at the day's rate, so the amount on the pricing section changes as the cedi does. Your own shelf prices and every till receipt stay in cedis, whatever the plan costs.

  • Makola, Kejetia and the high street

Market traders at Makola and Kejetia, provision stores, chemical shops, pharmacies, fabric and cosmetics sellers and the wholesalers who supply them can each run their counter and their stock on it.

  • Room for a shop in Kumasi or Takoradi

When another shop opens, add it as a branch with its own staff, register and stock, and compare what both shops sold today side by side on the dashboard, wherever you happen to be.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best point of sale app for a provision store in Ghana?
A provision store needs quick selling at the counter, a stock count it can believe and a record of the customers who buy now and pay at month end. That is what ArmPOS is built around, on whatever phone, tablet or computer sits by the till, and a provision store can put its own shelves on the free plan before spending a pesewa.
Some of my customers buy on credit. Can ArmPOS keep track of what they owe?
Yes. Sell to a regular customer on account, and ArmPOS adds the amount to their balance and takes it off again as they pay, in part or in full. Record a credit limit for each one that matches what you agreed, and check the customer list for who owes what before you serve them again.
I trade at Makola and keep extra goods in a store room nearby. Can ArmPOS count both?
Yes. Set up the stall and the store room as two locations, and each keeps its own count. When you bring bales or boxes across, record a transfer and approve it, and the stall's count goes up as the store room's goes down. Rack locations tell whoever fetches stock exactly which shelf to go to.
How does a chemical shop know when to reorder?
Give each product a minimum quantity, and when stock falls to it ArmPOS raises a low stock alert on the notification bell and the dashboard, and lists the product in the Product Quantity Alerts report. Medicines go in as batches with their expiry dates, and the batch nearest its date goes out first.
Will ArmPOS work during dumsor?
It will, if ArmPOS is open on the phone or laptop when the lights go off and that device has opened it online before. Sales made without the network wait on the device and go through to your account once the network returns, so an evening's takings aren't lost to an outage.
What does it cost to start, and when would I pay?
Until the shop needs more than 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products, it can stay on Starter, which is free and opens without a bank card. Moving up to a bigger plan is paid by card, in US dollars.
Can I send my regular customers a message when new stock arrives?
Yes. Send email, SMS or WhatsApp messages to one customer, or run a campaign to everyone on your list when a new delivery of fabric or provisions comes in. Loyalty points build up with every purchase, which gives regulars a reason to come back to your shop rather than the next one.
Can I sell online to customers outside Accra?
Yes. Open an online shop that draws on the same stock as your counter, so what customers see online is what is on your shelves. Buyers in other towns pay by card or cash on delivery, and each order arrives in ArmPOS as a sale.
