Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan or search the item, take dalasi notes, a card or a transfer, split the bill if needed and print a 58mm receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Two trading calendars, one till

Gambian trade keeps two calendars: rice, sugar and oil move through Banjul and Serrekunda year-round, and visitors fill the coast in the dry season. ArmPOS keeps both in one account, so a busy January sits beside a quiet August.

  • Notes, cards and transfers, each counted

Many customers pay in dalasi notes, while a visitor in Kololi may tap a card on your bank's terminal. Each sale carries the method used, picked by the cashier, since ArmPOS records card payments but never links to the terminal. Add a method in Settings for each account you use, and one sale can be split across two.

  • Dalasi, and the price you agreed

On the craft market a carving's price is settled by haggling. Keep the shelf price in ArmPOS and let the cashier enter a discount on that one sale. Your reports then show what each piece really fetched, and the plan cards on this page show dalasi at the day's rate.

  • Wholesalers, provision shops and the coast

A wholesaler near Serrekunda market sells rice, sugar and cooking oil by the bag or carton to traders who carry them on to Senegal. A provision shop in Brikama sells the same goods by the kilo or the single tin. A beach restaurant in Kotu puts every order on a screen in the kitchen as it is rung up.

  • From the coast to Farafenni and Basse

Open a branch upriver in Farafenni or Basse with its own stock, cashiers and register. Goods leave the Banjul store only on a transfer that someone must approve, so the store and the branch never disagree about a bag. From Banjul you can check how Basse did today without a phone call.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a shop in Serrekunda?
A shop in Serrekunda is well served by ArmPOS, which rings up sales on the phone you carry and keeps the stock count behind them. Each sale takes the goods off the shelf figure, and the day's profit shows in dalasi.
I sell rice and sugar by the bag to traders who take them on to Senegal. Can ArmPOS handle that?
Yes. Set each product's units once, such as a 50 kg bag sold whole or by the kilo, and the count stays right either way. A trader who buys every week can take goods on account, and their balance shows what is still owed from the last load.
My craft shop on the Senegambia Strip is busy in the dry season and quiet in the rains. Can I compare the two?
Yes. Reports run for the dates you choose, so January's sales can sit beside August's, product by product. The stock ageing report shows which batik or carvings stayed on the shelf through the quiet months.
Goods past their date sometimes reach market stalls. How do I keep them off mine?
Enter every delivery as a dated batch, and the till offers the oldest date before any newer stock. The expiry report shows what is close to its date. Clear those items with a discount while they are still good, or write them off as damages once they pass.
Can a restaurant in Kotu send orders straight to the kitchen?
Yes. Orders keyed in at the till appear on a kitchen screen, so the cook works through them in turn without paper slips. A table's bill can stay held while the guests eat, and the cashier serves takeaway customers meanwhile.
I sell and repair phones beside Serrekunda market. Can ArmPOS follow each handset?
Yes. Record each phone's IMEI when it arrives from your supplier, and the sale shows which handset left with which customer. When a phone comes back with a fault, its record gives the day it was bought and the day it was sold.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from The Gambia?
By card, in US dollars. Each plan's dalasi figure on this page is its dollar price at today's rate, so it can drift while the dollar price holds. You can open on Starter, which is free, without giving any card details. The plan cards list what the paid plans add.
If the internet drops at my Brikama shop, can the till keep going?
Yes. A till that was open when the connection went keeps selling, provided the device stays switched on. Each sale sits on the device until the network is back, then uploads by itself with no duplicates. A brand-new device must be online the first time it opens the POS.
