Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan the barcode with the phone's camera and ring the price up in dollars. Tick the method the customer used, or two if the dollars came partly in cash, and print a 58mm receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Bakara's trades, on one till

Bakara market in Mogadishu sells rice by the bag, gold, cosmetics and car parts, much of it shipped in from Dubai, China or Turkey. ArmPOS keeps that whole range in one stock count, priced in the dollars your customers carry.

  • Each payment method on its own line

A sale in Mogadishu may be settled with dollar notes, a card on the shop's own machine or a bank transfer. The cashier ticks whichever was used, and ArmPOS keeps it on the sale without ever talking to the machine. Each extra terminal or account becomes a method of its own in Settings, with a separate line in the payments report.

  • A till that runs in dollars

Your shop opens in Somali shillings, and one change in Settings moves it to US dollars. Prices, receipts and reports then all read in dollars, and nobody converts at the counter. Paid plans are billed in dollars as well, the same money your customers count out.

  • Rice, medicine and spare parts

A Bakara rice trader sells whole bags to corner shops and loose kilos to households from one count. A pharmacy books each importer's delivery in as a dated batch, so the oldest stock leaves first. A spare-parts dealer finds a filter or a brake pad by its part number, its name or a scan.

  • Hargeisa, Bosaso and Garowe

A second shop in Hargeisa, Bosaso or Garowe keeps a separate staff list and stock under the same account as Mogadishu. Cartons leave the Mogadishu store for a branch only after a manager signs off the transfer. The dashboard then sets each city's takings next to the others.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a shop in Bakara market?
One that keeps a stall's whole range in a single stock count and prices it in dollars. ArmPOS sells gold, cosmetics, parts or rice from the same till, each with its own unit and code. It runs on the phone you already carry, and a USB scanner and an 80mm printer can be added when the queue grows.
My goods come from Dubai by container. How do I book them into stock?
Raise a purchase order when you order in Dubai, and receive it when the container is unpacked in Mogadishu. Units turn cartons into pieces, so a carton of 12 bottles adds 12 to the shelf. Each supplier's record shows what you have paid and what is still due.
A relative runs the till while I am at the warehouse. Can I limit what they see?
Yes. Your relative signs in under a separate login, and the role you give that login sets what the screen allows. A cashier can sell, park a sale and take a return without seeing purchase prices or changing what goods sell for. Closing the register at night gives the dollar amount expected in the drawer.
Can a spare-parts shop find a part by its number?
Yes. Give each part its code and barcode, and the cashier finds it by number, by name or by scan. Print barcode labels for parts that arrive unmarked, and record the rack where each one sits. Low stock alerts list the filters and pads to reorder before a mechanic asks for them.
Can customers in Mogadishu order from my shop online?
Yes. Open the web shop that comes with ArmPOS, arrange your goods into collections and put your own banners on top. Every online order is filled from the same shelves as the counter. A buyer in Hodan pays by card or in cash to the driver. An item sold online leaves the shelf count at once, so two buyers are never promised the last one.
A customer brings back a laptop. Can I check that my shop sold it?
Yes. Record each serial or IMEI number when the goods arrive from your supplier, and again when you sell them. The unit's history then shows where it came from, the day it left and who bought it. Accept the return and it goes back into stock.
My product list is already in Excel. Do I have to type it again?
No. Your Excel list of products comes in as it is, and so do your customers and suppliers. A CSV file brings in last year's sales and purchases behind them. Check the imported counts against the shelves once, and from then on each sale and delivery keeps them right.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Somalia?
With a card, billed in US dollars, the currency most Somali shops already price in. A single stall can begin on Starter, the free plan, which never asks for a card. The pricing section shows what each plan costs, and your card is charged that plan's price in dollars.
