Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan or search the item and sell it by the bag or by the kilo. Take cash, a card or a transfer, split it when the customer pays part in each, and print a 58mm receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Made for trade that arrives by road

Most of the imported goods on Juba's shelves come up the Nimule road from Uganda and Kenya, and their price follows the dollar. ArmPOS keeps each delivery, each sale and each debt in the one currency your shop chooses.

  • Cash first, every other method on record

Whatever the customer hands over, the cashier picks that method and ArmPOS files the sale under it. Cash, a card on your shop's own machine and bank transfer are there from the start, with no link to any card machine. Need another? Add it in Settings, one per terminal or account.

  • Pounds or dollars: your choice

A new shop starts in South Sudanese pounds and can switch to US dollars in Settings, if that is how you price. The till then charges and reports in that one currency, with no conversion at the counter. One bill never mixes two currencies, so the day's takings come out as a single figure.

  • Konyo Konyo to the building yard

A wholesaler at Konyo Konyo sells sugar and maize flour by the bag to retailers and by the kilo to walk-ins. A building-materials shop counts cement, iron sheets and paint. A pharmacy follows each batch to its expiry date.

  • Branches in Yei, Torit or Wau

When you open in Yei, Torit or Wau, the new branch holds its own stock and its own staff list. A load sent on from Juba moves only once a manager approves the transfer. Every branch keeps a separate profit figure.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a Juba shop that prices in dollars?
One that lets the whole shop run in dollars, from shelf price to profit report. ArmPOS sets one currency per shop: choose US dollars in Settings, and every price, receipt and report follows. There is no dual-currency till, so the cashier never converts at the counter.
Can I book a truckload from Kampala into stock in one go?
Yes. Enter the order as your Kampala supplier sent it, then receive it into the Juba warehouse as the truck is emptied. Bags and cartons turn into pieces through the units you set. What you still owe that supplier stays on record until it is settled.
Will ArmPOS keep working through an evening power cut?
Yes, provided the POS is open before the cut and the laptop or phone stays on. Sales queue on that device until the network is back, then reach your account once each. Set up any new device while you have a connection.
How do I stop stock and cash leaking from a busy wholesale shop?
Start with separate logins: each worker signs in as themselves, and their role decides whether they may touch prices or delete a sale. Every shift opens the register with a float. At closing, ArmPOS shows the cash expected in the drawer, so a gap surfaces the same evening.
Some of my stock arrives with no barcode. Can the cashier still scan it?
Yes. Give each product a code in ArmPOS and print barcode labels on a label printer or on A4 sheets. Stick them on the goods or the shelf edge, and the cashier scans them like any packet from Kampala.
Do I need a computer, or is a phone enough?
A phone is enough to start, since its camera reads barcodes and it installs like an app from the browser. A busy counter can add a USB scanner, a 58mm or 80mm receipt printer and a cash drawer through the QZ Tray app.
Can I follow the shop while I am in Kampala buying stock?
Yes. The dashboard on your phone shows each branch's sales, stock and profit as they happen. About 60 reports, from stock value to staff sales, print or export to PDF or Excel for your partner or accountant.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from South Sudan?
Billing is in US dollars to a card, which suits a shop whose cash box already holds dollars. For reference, the pricing section converts each plan into pounds using the day's rate. A Konyo Konyo kiosk can stay on Starter, free and cardless, while 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products covers it. When the business spreads past Juba, Professional covers up to 5 warehouses and Enterprise any number beyond that.
