Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Point the phone's camera at the barcode, mark whether the customer handed over rand, maloti, a card or a transfer, and print a 58mm slip.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

For shops that restock on the other side of the border

Much of what a Lesotho shop sells comes from South Africa, often fetched by the owner from Ficksburg, Ladybrand or Bloemfontein. ArmPOS keeps the whole loop in one record: what you bought there, what sold here and what is still on the shelf.

  • Rand, maloti and card, each on record

A rand is worth a loti, so a customer can hand over either and the total stays the same. The cashier marks each sale as cash, card on your bank's machine or transfer, and ArmPOS keeps the record without connecting to the machine. Add a method for rand notes, and the payments report shows how many rand came in.

  • Priced in maloti, bought in rand

Shelf prices, receipts and the profit report all read in maloti. Because the loti is pegged one to one with the rand, the cost on a Ficksburg invoice goes into the purchase at the same figure. On the pricing section, every paid plan carries a maloti figure worked out from its dollar price that day.

  • Cafés, butcheries and general dealers

A café in Mafeteng sells bread, cold drinks and candles one at a time. A general dealer in Maputsoe keeps maize meal, paraffin and Basotho blankets in a back room. A butchery in Hlotse labels each cut on its scale, and the till reads the weight from that barcode.

  • From Maseru up to the mountain districts

A branch in Mokhotlong or Qacha's Nek joins the same account and keeps a count of its own. Goods leave the Maseru store on a transfer that waits for your approval. A load sent up the long road then arrives in the books exactly as it left.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a café or general dealer in Lesotho?
ArmPOS suits a café or general dealer: the till and the stock count agree, prices stay in maloti and the only hardware is a phone. Its free Starter plan covers 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products, which is room for a café's fast sellers while you decide.
Customers pay me in rand and in maloti. Can I see how much of each I took?
Yes. Create a payment method called rand notes beside the usual cash, and the cashier picks the right one at each sale. No conversion is involved, because both are worth the same. At closing, the payments report shows the rand on its own, which tells you what you can spend across the border on the next trip.
I restock at a wholesaler in Ficksburg. How do those goods get into ArmPOS?
Enter the trip as a purchase from that wholesaler and type the prices from the invoice as they are, since one rand equals one loti. Receive it into the shop or the back room, and the count rises by what you unloaded. Anything bought on account stays on the wholesaler's balance until you settle it.
My café sells candles by the packet and one at a time. Will the count stay right?
Yes. Give the candle two units, the packet and the single, and tell ArmPOS how many singles a packet holds. Buy by the packet and sell a single candle to a child sent from home. The next customer takes a whole packet, and the shelf count follows both.
Regulars at my shop buy on account until month end. Can I stop a balance running too high?
Yes. Give each regular a credit limit. The till refuses any sale on account that would push them past it, so the cashier never has to argue. The customers report lists who owes what, and each customer's history shows every purchase and repayment.
The signal comes and goes at my shop in the mountains. Can I keep selling?
Yes, as long as the POS was opened while the signal was there and the phone or tablet stays on. Sales made offline wait on the device and go up to your account by themselves when the network returns, with no sale counted twice. Before a new tablet goes up to the shop, open the POS on it once while it has a connection.
What does ArmPOS cost in maloti, and how is it paid?
Starter is free for as long as it is enough. A paid plan is charged to a card in US dollars. Its maloti figure on the pricing section moves as the rand moves against the dollar. A trader whose shops and stores outgrow Professional's 5 warehouses moves up to Enterprise, which has no cap.
My family helps behind the counter. Can each person have a separate login?
Yes. Everyone signs in as themselves, and their role decides what they can do. A nephew can sell and print receipts while price changes and the profit report stay with you. The staff report shows what each person sold.
