Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan the item or type its name, enter how many cups or bags, and take cash, card or a transfer. Print the receipt on a 58mm printer or send it by SMS.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

One currency at the till, in a two-currency country

In Liberia a phone shop may price in US dollars while the rice stall next door uses Liberian dollars, and customers carry both. ArmPOS keeps one currency per shop and never converts at the counter, so you pick the one your prices are written in.

  • Cash, card or transfer, written on the sale

The cashier tags every sale with how it was paid. Cash, bank transfer and cards run on your bank's machine each get their own line, and Settings lets you add other methods. ArmPOS records a card payment but has no connection to the machine. When a customer pays part in cash and part by transfer, both go on the same sale.

  • US dollars or Liberian dollars, your call

Your shop's currency is set at sign-up and can be changed in Settings, to LRD or to USD. Receipts, stock value and the profit report all follow that one currency. The pricing section shows each plan in Liberian dollars at the day's rate, beside its US dollar price.

  • Rice dealers, pharmacies and phone shops

A Waterside rice dealer buys by the 25kg bag and sells by the bag or the cup. A phone shop at Red Light logs each handset's IMEI from supplier to buyer. A pharmacy in Gbarnga sells the batch that expires first before touching a newer one.

  • Ganta, Gbarnga and Buchanan

Keep the main stock in Monrovia and open a branch in Ganta, near the Guinea border, or in Buchanan on the same account. Goods go out on a transfer that a manager must approve before either count changes. Each branch then shows its own sales and margin, so you can see whether the long road pays.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a Liberian shop that prices in US dollars?
One that lets you run the whole shop in US dollars. ArmPOS sets a Liberian shop to Liberian dollars at sign-up, and you can switch it to USD in Settings. Shelf prices, receipts, stock value and every report then read in US dollars, the same as your price tags.
I buy rice by the 25kg bag and sell it by the cup. Can ArmPOS keep both counts right?
Yes. Tell ArmPOS once how many cups your bag gives, and the stock moves in the right share whichever way you sell. Sell a full bag and the count drops by one bag; sell three cups and it drops by three cups' worth. At closing, the bags on the floor should match the screen.
Customers hand me Liberian dollars for goods tagged in US dollars. Can the till take both currencies?
It records every sale in one currency, the one your shop is set to, and does not convert at the counter. In a USD shop, the cashier works out the dollar amount at the rate you post and records the sale in US dollars. If most of your sales come in Liberian dollars, set the shop to LRD instead.
Retailers from Ganta and Kakata take goods from my Waterside store on credit. How do I keep track?
Set a credit limit on each retailer's account, and a sale that would take them over it simply won't go through. The customers report lists what every retailer still owes, with each purchase and repayment behind the figure. So before more rice goes onto a Ganta buyer's truck, you know what the last load still owes.
The network went down at Red Light in the middle of a sale. What happens to it?
The sale goes through. A POS that was already open keeps selling while the device stays on. It holds each sale on the phone or laptop and sends them up, without duplicates, when the network is back. Just make sure each new phone or laptop has been online once, when it first loads the POS.
I run a cold storage at Red Light. Can I sell frozen chicken and fish by weight?
Yes, with a weighing scale that prints barcodes carrying the weight. The cashier scans the label and the till charges for exactly what was weighed. Set the carton's weight once. A whole carton sold to a restaurant and a few kilos weighed out for a walk-in customer then come off the same stock.
Cash keeps going missing from the drawer. Can ArmPOS show who was on the till?
Yes. Give every cashier a personal login, and have them open the register with a counted float when the shift begins. Payouts and top-ups during the day are logged as cash out and cash in, and at closing ArmPOS shows what the drawer should hold. Each sale is stamped with whoever rang it up, so a short drawer points to a shift.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Liberia?
By card, in US dollars, the currency many Liberian shops already use on their price tags. A Waterside stall with one counter can stay on Starter at no charge. Its allowance is 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products, and no card goes on file. A trader with depots in several counties grows into Professional's 5 warehouses, or into Enterprise when even that is too few.
