Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Point the tablet's camera or a USB scanner at the barcode, collect MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, cash or card, let the customer use a promo code, and hand over an 80mm printed receipt or email it.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Point of sale for Kigali and beyond

Many Rwandan owners want records they can hand to an accountant without retyping them, and many teams move between English and French in the same day. ArmPOS keeps every sale, stock count and payment in Rwandan francs and lets each device show the language its user prefers.

  • MTN MoMo and Airtel Money

On a paid plan, through your shop's own MarzPay account, a shopper in Kimironko pays with MTN MoMo or Airtel Money at your till, a customer ordering online pays the same way, and both payments sit on their sales beside the cash and card ones.

  • Francs on every receipt

Choose RWF as the shop's currency and every receipt, quotation and report reads in francs. Cashiers count change in the currency the screen shows, and the monthly figures need no converting before your accountant sees them.

  • Supermarkets, boutiques and cafés

A Kigali supermarket scans barcodes at a busy checkout, a boutique in town holds a sale while the customer tries another size, and a café sends each order from the counter to the kitchen display.

  • Kigali first, then Musanze, Huye or Rubavu

Add an outlet in Musanze, Huye or Rubavu, stock it from the Kigali store with transfers that wait for approval, and read each outlet's results on its own when the month closes.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Mobile money

Take MTN MoMo and Airtel Money at the till and in your online shop.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the best POS for a supermarket or boutique in Kigali?
For a Kigali supermarket that means barcode scanning at a busy checkout, MoMo at the counter and a stock count that matches the shelves at the end of the week. ArmPOS handles those from a phone, tablet or computer in English or French, and a manager can try it on Starter with a sample of the shop's own range.
Can my cashiers use ArmPOS in French while I use English?
Yes. The language is a setting on each device rather than on each person, so the tablet at the counter can stay in French while the phone you check reports on stays in English. French and English are two of the 24 languages the app offers.
Does the kitchen display work for a café or restaurant in Kigali?
Yes. Orders rung up at the counter appear on a screen in the kitchen as soon as they are placed, so the cook works from the screen instead of paper slips carried to the back. The same system keeps the café's coffee beans, milk and packaged goods as stock.
Can I print or export my records for my accountant?
Yes. ArmPOS has about 60 reports, from sales and purchases to stock levels and profit, and each one can be printed or exported to PDF or Excel. The accounting module keeps income and expenses in the same system, so month-end figures come from one place.
What will ArmPOS cost me in Rwandan francs?
Starter's 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products fit a boutique where the owner and one assistant share the counter, and it costs nothing and needs no card. Moving up to a paid plan is settled with MTN MoMo or Airtel Money, in francs converted at that day's rate. A group with shops in several towns can step up to Professional, which handles five warehouses, or to Enterprise, which sets no number at all.
Do I still need to count the shop's stock at the end of the month?
Yes, but it goes faster. Start a count for one branch or one category, enter what is actually on the shelves, and adjust the system wherever it differs. Broken or spoilt goods are written off as damages, so a smashed bottle of juice is not confused with a missing one.
I live in Musanze and my shop is in Kigali. Can I keep an eye on it from there?
Yes. Open ArmPOS on your phone to see the day's sales and stock, and give each staff member a role that allows only what their job needs: a cashier sells, a storekeeper receives deliveries, and you decide who may change prices.
Can I reward regular customers with loyalty points?
Yes. Turn on loyalty points so regular customers earn them as they buy, and run a discount or promo code for a weekend offer at your boutique. The code can go out to your customer list by SMS, email or WhatsApp.
