Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan the part or type its name, and enter the chassis number when it is a motorbike. Take cash, card or a bank transfer, split the bill if needed, and print a 58mm receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

For stock that comes up the road from the coast

Burkina Faso has no sea port, so imported goods reach Ouagadougou by truck from Lomé, Abidjan, Cotonou or Tema. ArmPOS picks up the count when a delivery enters your depot and follows it to the counter of every branch you run.

  • Cash, card and transfer, each on record

Your cashier marks how each sale was settled: cash, a card on your bank's terminal, a bank transfer or a method you add in Settings. ArmPOS records the method and does not connect to the terminal. One sale can be split between two methods, and the payments report keeps their totals apart.

  • CFA francs, tied to the euro

Shelf prices, receipts and monthly profit are all kept in CFA francs (XOF). Upgrading costs a dollar amount, which the pricing section converts into francs at the day's rate. Because the CFA franc is pegged to the euro, that franc figure drifts a little whenever the euro moves against the dollar.

  • Motorbike dealers, hardware stores and pharmacies

A motorbike dealer in Ouagadougou keeps each machine's chassis number from the supplier's delivery to the buyer's name. A hardware store in Koudougou sells roofing sheets by the bundle or one sheet at a time. A pharmacy in Bobo-Dioulasso always sells its earliest-expiring batch first.

  • Bobo-Dioulasso, Koudougou and Banfora

A new shop in Bobo-Dioulasso or Banfora joins your existing account with a stock count and a staff list of its own. Cartons leave the Ouagadougou depot on a transfer that a manager has to approve before anything moves. Each town's sales and margin then show on their own.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a motorbike dealer in Ouagadougou?
One that follows every motorbike by its chassis number. ArmPOS stores the number when the supplier's delivery comes in, then ties it to the sale and the buyer. A bike brought back later can be checked against your own records. Spare parts sit in the same stock, sorted by model, each with a barcode and a place on the shelf.
Mechanics from the neighbourhood take parts on credit. Can I cap what each one owes?
Yes. Give each mechanic a customer record with a credit limit. The till then refuses any sale that would push their balance past it. Check the customers report before you hand over the next box of brake pads. It shows who owes what, with the purchases and repayments behind each figure.
Can a stall at Rood Woko use ArmPOS for free?
Yes, on Starter: its allowance of 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products suits a single stall. Signing up asks for no card. The trader's own phone becomes the till and, through its camera, the barcode scanner. When the stall grows into a shop, you move to a bigger plan and keep every product you entered.
A truck from Lomé has just arrived. How do I book the goods into the right depot?
Raise a purchase order with the supplier before the truck sets off. When it pulls in, receive the order into the depot that actually holds the goods, and the quantities land there and nowhere else. The amount you owe that supplier goes onto their account, next to what you have already paid.
What happens to a sale if the network drops halfway through?
Nothing is lost, as long as the POS was already open and the device stays on. You finish the sale and keep serving, with every sale held on the device. They all reach your account, without duplicates, once the network returns. Opening the POS for the first time on a phone or laptop is the one step that needs the internet.
My counter staff work in French, but my business partner reads English. Can we both use ArmPOS?
Yes. The language belongs to each device, not to each person. The counter tablet in Ouagadougou can run in French while your partner's laptop shows English. Both screens show the same sales, stock and customers, and the shop app offers 24 languages in all.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Burkina Faso?
With a bank card, charged in US dollars. Beside every paid plan, the pricing section gives a franc figure worked out at that day's rate. It tells you roughly what the card charge will come to. Larger set-ups move to Professional, which holds up to 5 warehouses, or to Enterprise, which has no cap.
My Bobo-Dioulasso shop keeps running out while the Ouaga depot is full. What can I do?
Give every product an alert quantity. Once a product's count reaches that figure, it is flagged under the notification bell and on the dashboard. The Product Quantity Alerts report lists it too. You then send a transfer from the Ouagadougou depot to Bobo, and the goods change place only once someone approves it.
