Frequently asked questions
What is the best stock software for a wholesaler at Dantokpa?
For a wholesaler the hard part is stock that comes in by the carton and goes out in both cartons and pieces. In ArmPOS you set the conversion once, say 48 tins to the carton, and every sale takes the right amount out of stock. I sell motorbike spare parts in Cotonou. How do I find a part fast when a zémidjan rider is waiting?

The customer has gone to check the part fits his bike. Can I serve someone else meanwhile?
Yes. Hold the sale with the part still on it and ring up the next customer. When the first one comes back, open the held sale and finish it, or take the part off if it did not fit, without starting the whole bill again.
Do MTN MoMo and Moov Money payments appear in my daily figures?
Yes. Each mobile money payment is saved on the sale it paid for, and the payments report sorts the day by method, the mobile money apart from the cash. When you close the cash register in the evening, the drawer is compared with the cash alone, because the mobile money is already accounted for.
A bag of cement split in the store at my quincaillerie. How do I take it out of stock?
Record it as damaged. The bag leaves stock as a damage rather than a sale, so your takings stay true and the losses are listed apart from what was sold. The next stock count is then not thrown off by a bag that nobody paid for.
