Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

With the till set to French, scan the item or type its name, take M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Orange Money or cash, sell a full crate to one customer and loose bottles to the next, and print the receipt on a 58mm or 80mm printer.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

One stock book from Kinshasa to Lubumbashi

Congolese trade runs on crates and cartons broken down into single units, on three mobile money networks, and on branches that sit very far apart. ArmPOS brings the counter, the stock and the money into one system, whether you sell near the central market in Kinshasa or supply shops from a depot in Lubumbashi.

  • Three wallets, one record

Whichever network a customer carries, Vodacom's M-Pesa, Airtel Money or Orange Money, the payment can be made at your counter or in your online shop, and it is filed against the sale it paid for. Cash goes onto the same record, and a single sale can be split between a wallet and banknotes.

  • Francs or dollars: you pick one

Francs and dollars both change hands in Congolese trade, so you set the shop's currency once, CDF or USD, and every price, receipt and report follows that choice. What you pay ArmPOS is a franc figure, converted on the day, which any of the three wallets settles to the franc.

  • Depots, pharmacies and phone shops

A drinks depot in Limete takes deliveries by the crate and sells some crates whole and others bottle by bottle, a pharmacy in Gombe lets the batch nearest its expiry date go first, and a phone shop in Lubumbashi traces each handset by its IMEI from the supplier to the buyer.

  • Branches as far as Goma and Kisangani

Goods leaving the Kinshasa store for a branch in Goma, Kisangani or Mbuji-Mayi travel on a transfer that waits for a manager's approval, so no crate drops out of one count without someone signing it off. Each branch then sells with its own staff and stock, and its results are read on their own.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Mobile money

Take M-Pesa, Airtel Money and Orange Money at the till and in your online shop.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

I run a drinks depot in Kinshasa. What is the best way to keep crates and single bottles in one stock?
Set up each drink once with two units, the crate and the bottle, and tell ArmPOS how many bottles a crate holds. A delivery of forty crates goes in as crates, a bar owner can take five crates while a neighbour buys two bottles, and by evening the stock reads correctly in both units.
Prices in my shop are in dollars. Can ArmPOS work in USD instead of Congolese francs?
Yes. A shop on ArmPOS works in one currency, and you choose which: US dollars or Congolese francs. Prices, receipts, quotations and the profit report then all use that currency, so your cashiers never juggle two price lists at the counter. Pick the one your customers count in most often.
My customers are split between M-Pesa, Airtel Money and Orange Money. Can ArmPOS take all three?
You can take all three on a paid plan, whether the customer stands at your counter or orders from your online shop. The money comes through your shop's own MarzPay account and lands on the sale it settled, so at closing time you see how much came in by mobile money beside the cash in the drawer. A customer short on one wallet can pay part by mobile money and the rest in cash.
My main store is in Kinshasa and my branches are in Lubumbashi and Goma. How do I control stock sent that far?
Send it on a transfer. The transfer moves no stock until someone allowed to approve it has done so, which means a crate cannot vanish between two cities without leaving a trace. Give each branch manager a login for their own branch alone, and compare the branches' sales from your phone.
I sell hundreds of products near the central market. Do I have to type them all in?
No. List your products in an Excel file and import the whole list at once, together with your customers and suppliers. Past sales and purchases can come in from a CSV file, so your reports start from your real history instead of an empty page.
My cashiers work in two shifts. Can I see who was at the till and what each one sold?
Yes. Every cashier signs in with their own login, so each sale carries the name of the person who made it, and the staff reports show what each one sold. Shifts, leave and attendance are recorded too, and each register closes against the amount ArmPOS expects in the drawer.
How much does ArmPOS cost, and how do I pay for it from DR Congo?
Starter is free and covers 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products, enough for a small boutique in Kisangani, and signing up asks for no card. Bigger plans carry a price in Congolese francs worked out from that day's exchange rate, settled by M-Pesa, Airtel Money or Orange Money. Professional is the plan for a business with up to 5 warehouses; Enterprise is for a network bigger than that.
What happens to a sale in Goma if the network drops?
If the POS is already open, the cashier keeps selling. Each sale waits on the device and goes up to your account by itself when the connection returns, and none of them is counted twice. A device that has never opened the POS needs a connection for that very first time.
