From the Douala truck to a Bangui shelf

Point of Sale & Inventory Management Software in the Central African Republic

Flour or cooking oil ordered from Douala can spend weeks on the road before it reaches a depot in Bangui. ArmPOS combines point of sale software and inventory management that tell you when to reorder and which batch to sell first, all in CFA francs.

Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

When your stock comes from Douala or Brazzaville

Imported goods reach Bangui by truck from the port of Douala, or by barge up the Ubangi, mostly in the rainy season. ArmPOS helps a trader in the Central African Republic plan around that wait, then sell each carton before its date.

  • Every payment filed under its method

As each sale closes, the cashier picks how the customer paid: notes, a card on the bank machine, a transfer, or a method you create. ArmPOS never plugs into that machine, and each method keeps its own daily total.

  • CFA francs, and prices that follow the road

Every price on the shelf and on the receipt is in CFA francs (XAF), and so is the depot's value. If a late truck pushes up the supplier's price, change the selling price once, and every till uses it from the next sale. ArmPOS plans read in CFA francs too, converted at the day's rate on the pricing section.

  • Wholesalers, grocers and phone shops

In central Bangui, a flour wholesaler supplies neighbourhood shops by the sack, then weighs out kilos for anyone walking in. In Bimbo, a grocer shelves oil, powdered milk and tinned food by expiry date. A phone shop in Bangui records the IMEI of each handset as it comes off the Douala truck, and the sale keeps the buyer's name.

  • A depot in Bimbo, a shop in town

Set up the Bimbo depot and each Bangui shop as separate locations, each with its own stock and staff. A sack leaves the depot only on a stock transfer, and it enters the shop only once a manager accepts it.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a shop in Bangui?
Pick the one that warns you before you run out, allowing for the time a truck takes from Douala. Set each product's alert quantity to what you sell during the trip, not during an ordinary week. When the count drops to that level, the bell and the dashboard both show a notice. The item also joins the Product Quantity Alerts report, ready for your next Douala order.
How do I receive a truck from Douala or a barge from Brazzaville?
Start from the purchase order, entered as soon as the supplier confirms quantities and prices. On arrival, correct whatever is short, then receive the order into the depot that holds it. ArmPOS adds the quantities there and writes the amount still owed on that supplier's record.
How do I stop expired flour or powdered milk reaching a customer?
Type in the date printed on each sack of flour or carton of milk as it arrives, and ArmPOS keeps it as a separate batch. At the counter, the flour batch closest to its date comes first in the list. Open the expiry report to see which cartons are nearing their date, and cut their price in time.
Neighbourhood shops buy from me on credit. Can I cap each one?
Yes, and the till holds the cap. Once a shop in Bimbo reaches the amount you allow it, ArmPOS refuses its next credit sale until a repayment comes in. Before a collection round, the customers report lists every balance still open, shop by shop.
Can I tell customers when the Douala truck has arrived?
Yes, by WhatsApp, SMS or email sent from ArmPOS to one customer or the whole list. The shops that buy from you learn that flour and sugar are back in stock before they go to another supplier.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from the Central African Republic?
Your bank card is charged in US dollars for a paid plan, never in CFA francs. The pricing section also gives each plan's CFA figure for the day, which moves little because the CFA franc is tied to the euro. Starter is the free plan, opened without a card, and the plan cards show what each of the others includes.
A customer pays in notes and tops up by transfer. How do I record it?
Enter two payments on the same sale, each with its own method. The receipt and the payments report keep the amounts apart. That evening, count the drawer against the notes and check the bank account against the transfers.
How much is tied up in stock sitting in the depot since the last big order?
The stock value report gives the amount tied up, depot by depot, in CFA francs. The stock ageing report tells you how many weeks each item has sat there, so the next truck can carry less of it.
