Names like these, in green, are pages inside your ArmPOS shop. Sign in to your shop to open them.

By the end your store's home page will show a banner and a row of chosen products, such as your breakfast range.

Collections

A collection is a named group of products, shown as a row on the store's home page with View All.

  1. Open Store › Collections and click New.
  2. Type the Title. The Slug, the collection's address, fills itself from it.
  3. Add a Description if you like, and set the Limit: how many products the row shows. It starts at 8.
  4. Click Save. Don't press Enter in the product search: it saves the form before your products are in.
  5. Open the collection again from the list and add the products. Type a name, a code or a number in Search products…, click the magnifier, then Create beside the product you want. It changes to Added.
  6. Put them in order with the arrows: the first shows first. Remove takes one out.
  7. Click Save.
The collection form: Title Breakfast essentials, Slug breakfast-essentials, Description, Limit 8, Save, Save and Close and Cancel, and Products in Collection with 4 selected: Milk, Eggs and Juice listed with arrows and Remove, and the search box showing Nescafe Coffee Added.
The button that adds a product reads Create. Once a product is in, it reads Added.
Store › Collections: #1 Breakfast essentials and #2 Kitchen basics, with their slugs, Limit 8 and 4 products each.
Each collection with how many products it holds.

A new collection joins the home page by itself, above the newsletter. Move it or hide it in Store › Settings › Homepage blocks. A collection shows only when at least one of its products is for sale.

The store's home page: the Kitchen basics row, marked Collection, with View All and four products, Pan, Knife, Chopping Board and Bamboo Spatula, each with its price and Add to cart.
A collection on the home page. View All opens the shop on that collection.

Banners

A banner is a picture on the home page that leads to your shop.

  1. Open Store › Banners and click Create.
  2. Type the Title. It is required, and it names the banner in your list.
  3. Pick the Position. Top, Center or Footer, each Left or Right.
  4. Choose the Image. JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 4 MB. Every position wants a picture twice as wide as it is high: 1200 × 600, or 2400 × 1200 for sharp screens. The form tells you if yours is a different shape.
  5. Leave Active on and click Save.
The banner form: Title Breakfast essentials, Position Top — Left, Image banner-breakfast.png with its preview, Active, Save and Cancel, and the Size guide: Top, Center and Footer, Left or Right, 1200×600 (2:1), with the tip to use 2x for retina.
Use a picture twice as wide as it is high. Put any words you want inside the picture itself.
Store › Banners: Preview, Title, Position, Active and Updated, with Breakfast essentials, top_left, Active, and Edit and Delete.
Switch a banner off rather than delete it if you'll use it again.

Top banners sit above everything; Center banners after the welcome; Footer banners at the bottom. A left and a right banner sit side by side. A banner leads to your shop page: it has no link of its own.

The store's home page with the Breakfast essentials banner at the top left, above the welcome "Fresh groceries and kitchenware".
A Top — Left banner. Add a Top — Right one to fill the row.
