Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Put the wings on the scale and scan the label it prints, or scan a bag of sugar. Ring it up against cash, a card on your terminal or a transfer, and the 58mm printer hands the customer a receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Stock that lasts until the next boat

About nine tenths of what Comorians consume is imported. Much of it arrives in containers at Mutsamudu, the only deep-water port, then crosses by coaster to Grande Comore and Mohéli. ArmPOS shows each island's shelves, so you reorder while there is still rice to sell.

  • Cash first, every method on record

Notes still settle most purchases in a Moroni grocery, and cards are uncommon outside the larger hotels. The cashier marks each ticket as cash, card or transfer, whichever the customer used, and a card goes through your own terminal. That terminal and ArmPOS never talk to each other. Add methods of your own in Settings, split one bill across two, and the payments report gives each its own total.

  • A franc tied to the euro

Since 1999 one euro has bought 491.96775 Comorian francs, a fixed rate that keeps invoices from French suppliers predictable. Your receipts, the value of the stock and the month's margin are kept in KMF. Plans carry a dollar price, turned into Comorian francs every day for the pricing section. That figure moves only when the euro moves against the dollar.

  • Grocers, hardware stores and Volo Volo cloth

A Moroni grocer buys chicken wings by the carton and sells them by the weighed kilo. A hardware store in Mutsamudu sells cement bag by bag, one of the country's main imports. At Volo Volo market, a cloth seller records every colour of a fabric as a variant with a barcode.

  • Anjouan, Grande Comore and Mohéli

One account can hold a depot in Mutsamudu, a shop in Moroni and a third in Fomboni, with separate shelves and cashiers. Cartons that leave on a coaster travel on a stock transfer, and they count on the other island only once a manager confirms it. Each island's takings and margin then appear separately on the dashboard.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a grocery shop in Moroni?
Pick one that warns you before a staple runs out, because the next boat can be late. In ArmPOS you give each product an alert quantity. Once stock dips under it, the bell flags the product and the dashboard lists it. The Product Quantity Alerts report turns those products into your next order list.
Families order for a grand mariage and pay in instalments. Can ArmPOS follow what each owes?
Yes. Email the family a quotation, then turn it into a sale on the day they confirm. The deposit goes in as a part payment, and the balance stays on their customer account until the last instalment. Family by family, the customers report shows what is still unpaid.
I sell chicken wings by the kilo. Does the stock follow what the scale weighs?
Yes. The scale prints a barcode that carries the weight, and the till reads it at the scan. The exact weight then leaves stock, charged at the kilo price. Set once how many kilos a carton holds, and you receive by the carton while you sell by weight.
July and August empty my shelves. How do I stock up for the wedding season?
Start from last season's figures. After a first summer on ArmPOS, the sales report filtered to July and August shows which cloths, drinks and sacks of rice sold in quantity. Raise purchase orders early enough for the goods to land before the diaspora arrives from France.
My depot is in Mutsamudu and my shops are in Moroni and Fomboni. How do goods cross between islands?
Each shipment goes on a stock transfer raised at the depot, listing what is loaded onto the coaster. The transfer waits for a manager to confirm it before any quantity changes. After that, Anjouan's stock drops and the Moroni or Fomboni shop's rises by the same amount.
Can I see what I still owe each wholesaler?
Yes. Every purchase order you receive adds to that wholesaler's balance, and every payment you make brings it down. You know where you stand before the next order of rice or sugar. Receive a load unloaded at Moroni into the Moroni depot, and only that depot's stock goes up.
Can my cashier work in Arabic while I read the reports in French?
Yes. The language belongs to the device, so it stays put whoever signs in. Your cashier's phone can show Arabic screens that read right to left, while the laptop you use for reports stays in French. Both work on the same sales and the same stock.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Comoros?
Your card covers any paid plan you pick, at its US dollar price. Starter is free and needs no card, so you can try the till on your own shelves first. What each plan covers is set out elsewhere on this page, with its amount in Comorian francs at today's rate.
