Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan the label or search by name, and enter the number of metres or sacks. Take cash, card or a bank transfer, then print an 80mm receipt or text it to the customer.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Metres, sacks and serial numbers

Malian trade runs on different units: cloth by the metre at the Grand Marché, grain by the sack in Ségou, machines singly at Médine. ArmPOS sells each in the unit it needs and keeps the count right in every store you hold.

  • How each customer paid, kept with the sale

Cash, transfers and cards taken on your own terminal are each recorded against the sale, as is any method you add in Settings. ArmPOS logs the method and has no link to the terminal itself. Part cash and part transfer can go on one sale, and the payments report totals each method.

  • CFA francs from the metre to the balance sheet

Whether you sell three metres of bazin or a sack of millet, ArmPOS rings it up in CFA francs (XOF), and your monthly profit follows. The plans on the pricing section are priced in dollars and shown in francs, using that day's exchange rate.

  • Cloth sellers, grain traders and equipment stalls

A bazin seller at the Grand Marché cuts each piece by the metre and tracks every colour as a variant. A grain trader in Ségou takes rice and millet in by the sack and sells by the sack or the kilo. At the Médine market, a stall selling farm equipment logs each machine's serial number.

  • Kayes, Ségou and Sikasso

Goods shipped through Dakar usually reach Bamako by road through Kayes. Run a depot there and shops in Ségou or Sikasso from one account, each with its own staff. Stock moves on a transfer that a manager signs off, and each town reports its own sales and margin.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS software for a bazin shop in Bamako?
Software that sells by the metre what you buy by the piece. In ArmPOS you say once how many metres a piece holds, and each sale takes the right length off your stock. Every grade of bazin becomes a product and every colour a variant with its own barcode, so you can see which shades are running low.
I buy rice in Niono and millet from farmers around Ségou. Can I track what I owe each supplier?
Yes. Give each supplier a record and order through purchase orders. When the sacks arrive, receive them into the depot that actually holds them, and the amount is added to what you owe that supplier. Each payment you make to them then brings the balance down.
The network often drops in Bamako. Can I keep selling?
Yes, provided the POS is already open and the device does not switch off. Sales are kept on the phone or computer and sent to your account on their own when the network comes back, never counted twice. The one moment you must be online is the first time a given device opens the POS.
A market reseller takes cloth on credit and pays me back after market day. How do I follow her balance?
Open a customer record for her. Each credit sale adds to her balance and each repayment reduces it, and a credit limit stops the till from selling past it. The customers report shows what every reseller owes, with the purchases and repayments behind the figure.
I sell bicycles and farm tools at Médine. How do I know which machine went to which buyer?
Record each serial number when your supplier delivers. At the sale, that number is tied to the receipt and the customer, along with the date and the price. When a buyer comes back with a fault, you can confirm in a moment that the machine left your stall.
My nephew minds the till when I am at the depot. Can he change prices?
Only if you let him. Your nephew gets a login of his own, and the role you attach to it sets what he can open or change. Let the till role cover sales and returns, and keep price changes and the profit reports for yourself.
What does ArmPOS cost in Mali, and how do I pay?
Nothing to start. A small Bamako shop can stay on Starter, with 1 branch, 2 users and up to 50 products, as long as that is enough. Opening the account takes no card details. To upgrade, you pay in US dollars with a bank card, and the pricing section shows what each plan comes to in CFA francs. A trader adding depots can step up to Professional for as many as 5 warehouses, or to Enterprise for any number.
My Bamako pharmacy gets boxes with different expiry dates. How do I sell the earliest first?
Enter each delivery as a batch with the expiry date printed on its boxes. Boxes from the soonest-dated batch go out first at the till. Anything due to expire over the next weeks appears on the expiry report. That leaves time to return it to the wholesaler or sell it off at a discount.
