Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan the tea packet with the phone's camera, take the notes or record the card, and print a receipt in new ouguiyas.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Tea, melhfas and two ouguiyas

Mauritania switched to the new ouguiya in 2018, at ten old ones to one new, yet many people still quote prices the old way. ArmPOS counts everything in new ouguiyas (MRU), from the carton of green tea in the depot to the receipt the customer takes home.

  • Banknotes first, card and transfer on record

Card payment is rare at Mauritanian counters, so most sales are settled in notes. When someone pays by card on your bank's terminal, or by transfer, the cashier picks that method in ArmPOS. The app keeps the record but never connects to the terminal. One receipt can mix notes and a transfer, and the payments report keeps each method's figure apart.

  • New ouguiyas on every label and receipt

Shelf labels, receipts, stock value and profit are all in new ouguiyas. A customer who counts in old ones reads the true amount in print. Above, the pricing section turns each plan's dollar price into MRU at the day's rate.

  • Boutiques, melhfa stalls and phone kiosks

A boutique in Tevragh Zeina buys Chinese green tea by the carton and sells it by the packet. A melhfa seller in the Marché Capitale records each colour and fabric as a variant with its own count. Near Point Chaud, a phone dealer keeps the IMEI of every handset from purchase to sale.

  • Nouadhibou, Rosso and the route de l'Espoir

Nouadhibou and Rosso can each run as a branch of the same account, with their own staff and shelves. A truck leaving the Nouakchott depot for Kiffa on the route de l'Espoir carries a transfer that a manager must approve. Sales and profit stay apart by town, so a slow branch shows up quickly.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS system for a boutique in Nouakchott?
One that sells tea by the packet, sugar by the kilo and rice by the sack without breaking the stock count. ArmPOS converts between carton, sack and single unit, takes off what really left the shelf and totals the day in ouguiyas. It opens in the phone's browser, with no app to download from a store.
My customers quote prices in old ouguiyas. Which currency does ArmPOS use?
New ouguiyas (MRU) only: each shop works in one currency, set when you sign up. Enter every price once in new ouguiyas and the receipt shows the real amount, so the customer who said a thousand reads 100. ArmPOS never converts between old and new, which keeps the printed figure the price.
I sell melhfas in the Marché Capitale. Can I count each colour separately?
Yes. A melhfa line becomes one product, and every colour under it gets a barcode and a stock figure of its own. Pieces that come in unlabelled get a printed barcode sticker from a label printer, then scan at the till like the rest. Before the next order to your supplier, the variant list shows which shades are thin on the shelf.
I sell phones near Point Chaud. How do I tell two handsets of the same model apart?
By IMEI. Enter each handset's number when it arrives from your supplier, and the sale records which unit left the shop and who bought it. If a buyer returns with a faulty handset, search the IMEI and you see which supplier it came from and on which receipt it left.
Everyone pays me in cash. How do I know the drawer is right at night?
Start each day by recording the change float in the drawer, then log every note you take out for a supplier or a driver. At closing, ArmPOS shows the amount the drawer should hold in ouguiyas, ready to count against the notes. Each cashier signs in with their own login, so a shortfall points to a shift.
I supply boutiques in Aleg and Boutilimit on credit. Can I stop one owing too much?
Yes. Put a ceiling on each boutique's account; once a credit sale would take it over, the till says no. The balance climbs with each consignment and drops when the owner settles part of it. Before the truck leaves again, the customers report tells you which boutique still owes and how much.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Mauritania?
Start on Starter, which is free and needs no card, and run your own stock through the till before spending anything. Moving to a paid plan puts a dollar charge on your bank card. The pricing section above converts each plan to MRU at the day's rate, beside what it includes.
Does the till stop if the internet drops at my shop in Zouérate?
No. A POS screen that was open before the line went down keeps ringing up sales, as long as the phone or laptop is switched on. Each sale made offline stays on the device and uploads when the signal returns, never twice. Only a brand-new device must be online, for its first start of the POS.
