Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan the carton or type the item's name, and park the sale if the customer steps away for a moment. Choose cash, card or transfer for the payment, then hand over a 58mm receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

Between Kano, Maradi and Niamey

In Niger, a large share of shop goods comes from Kano along the Maradi road, or up from the port of Lomé by truck. ArmPOS records what you owe each supplier, then counts every sack and carton until the shop that sells it.

  • Notes, card and transfer, each with its own total

Whichever way the customer paid stays attached to the sale, be it notes, a card at your bank's terminal or a transfer. ArmPOS stores that choice and is never wired to the terminal. A customer can hand over some notes now and wire the balance, and ArmPOS still files a single sale with two payments. Methods you add in Settings, such as a second bank account, are totalled separately at the end of each day.

  • CFA francs tied to the euro

Whether millet goes by the 100 kg sack or sugar by the packet, every price and its margin shows in CFA francs (XOF). A paid plan keeps one dollar price. Its franc figure on the pricing section shifts with the euro, since the CFA franc is fixed to it.

  • Agro-inputs, food stores and restaurants

In Tahoua, an agro-input dealer sells seed and crop treatments to Galmi's onion growers, each with its expiry date. At Niamey's Grand Marché, a general food store sells sugar by the carton or the packet. On the Plateau, a lunchtime restaurant puts each order paid at the counter onto the cooks' screen in the kitchen.

  • Maradi, Zinder and Dosso

Trucks unload at the Niamey depot, and shops in Maradi, Zinder or Dosso join the same account with stock of their own. Goods change town only on a transfer a manager has accepted. Each town keeps its own takings, which you read from Niamey.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best point of sale software for a Maradi trader who buys stock in Kano?
One that knows what you owe each supplier in Kano. In ArmPOS every order goes out on a purchase order, and receiving it puts the cartons into the depot that takes them in. The supplier's record shows what is still to pay, delivery by delivery, beside each payment you made.
Near the border, customers hold out naira. Can ArmPOS convert it?
No. An ArmPOS shop keeps one currency, here the CFA franc, and the till converts nothing. If you accept it, create a payment method for naira in Settings and enter its value in francs, at the rate agreed with the customer. The payments report then shows what came in as naira on a line of its own.
I sell seed and crop treatments to onion growers around Galmi. How do I avoid selling expired stock?
Each delivery of inputs goes into ArmPOS as a dated batch. At the till, the sachet or bottle offered comes from the batch with the nearest date. Before the onion season, the expiry report shows what may pass its date, in time to clear it. Bought by the carton, the bottles can also sell one at a time.
Friday and Monday are market days in Maradi, and the queue grows. How do I serve faster?
Open a second till on another phone, with each seller on their own login and drawer. When a customer hesitates or goes to fetch a sack, park the sale and serve the next person. A USB scanner or the phone's camera reads barcodes, so nobody hunts for items in a list.
Before Ramadan, sugar, powdered milk and oil sell fast. How do I avoid running out?
Give every product an alert quantity, set higher for sugar and powdered milk as the holy month approaches. When stock reaches it, the app's bell warns you and the dashboard lists what to reorder. You place the order while the wholesaler still has goods to deliver.
I am opening a restaurant on the Plateau in Niamey. Can orders go straight to the kitchen?
Yes. An order paid at the till appears at once on the kitchen screen, with every dish and its quantity. The cook moves it to preparing, then to completed, and the counter sees what is ready without asking.
My depot is in Niamey and my shop in Zinder. How do I follow a truck that takes days?
Once a manager has approved the transfer, give it the status Sent. The stock then leaves the Niamey depot without entering Zinder's yet, since it is on the road. When the truck arrives, the shop marks the transfer Completed and the cartons join its shelves in ArmPOS.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Niger, and what does it cost to start?
Starting costs nothing: the Starter plan is free, with no card, while you enter your items and ring up real sales. Once the shop outgrows that free start, a bank card pays for the plan you pick, in US dollars. Each plan's detail, in CFA francs, sits in the pricing section of this page.
