Till and stock software for Sudanese traders

Point of Sale & Inventory Management Software in Sudan

When a sack of flour costs more on Thursday than on Wednesday, the till has to know. ArmPOS combines point of sale software with inventory management, so a new price reaches every till at once and every total stays in Sudanese pounds.

Why ArmPOS

One system for sales, inventory and every branch

Most small businesses juggle a till, a stock book and a spreadsheet. ArmPOS brings your point of sale, inventory management, purchasing and accounting into one system, so every sale updates your stock and your numbers at once.

Every branch, one view

See stock in every shop and warehouse from one account, down to the rack. Move items between branches with approved transfers, and every movement is recorded.

Know before you run out

Set an alert quantity for each product. When stock falls to it, ArmPOS flags it in the notification bell and on the dashboard, branch by branch, so you reorder before a customer leaves empty-handed.

Speaks your team's language

Use ArmPOS in 24 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese, with right-to-left screens for Arabic.

Profit you can see

Sales, profit and stock value update with every sale. Open the dashboard on any device and know how today is going, branch by branch.

Sell online too

Open your own online shop with the same products and stock. Online orders become sales in ArmPOS, so you never sell what you no longer have.

How ArmPOS works

From sign-up to daily profit

Create your free account and set up your shop in minutes. Import products, customers and suppliers from Excel, and give each person on your team their own login.

Scan or search the item, take a banking-app transfer, notes or a card, split the bill when part comes in notes, and print the receipt.

Every sale, purchase, return and transfer updates your inventory. See what your stock is worth and what is running low in each branch.

Sales, profit, inventory and staff reports for any branch and any dates, ready to print or export to PDF and Excel.

For trade where prices move between deliveries

A Sudanese trader restocks at prices that can rise between two deliveries, sells sugar by the sack and the kilo, and keeps regulars on account. ArmPOS holds all three in one record, from a wholesaler in Port Sudan to a grocer in Gedaref.

  • Banking-app transfers, notes and cards

In most markets, customers now pay by transfer from a banking app more often than in notes. Add a method in Settings for each bank account the shop receives into, and the cashier picks it on the sale. The payments report totals each account for the day, ready to set against its statement. Where the shop has a card terminal, card sales are recorded too, though ArmPOS never connects to it.

  • A new price, set once

The cost of a sack or a carton can rise by a quarter between two deliveries. Enter the new delivery at what you paid, then change the selling price once, and no cashier sells at yesterday's figure. The plan cards on this page show Sudanese pounds at the day's rate, so their figures move as well.

  • Wholesalers, grocers and pharmacies

A wholesaler in Port Sudan sells sugar by the 50 kg sack to shops in other towns. A grocer in Wad Madani sells the same sugar by the kilo, and cooking oil by the bottle or the carton. A pharmacy receives each delivery as a dated batch and sells the earliest date first.

  • A branch in another town

A shop in Gedaref or Wad Madani can run as a branch, with stock, cashiers and a register of its own. Sacks move from the Port Sudan store to a branch only after someone approves the transfer. Compare the branches' sales and profit from a single login, wherever you are.

Point of sale features

Everything you need at the counter: a fast POS screen on any device, flexible payments, and receipts your customers can keep.

  • Fast checkout

Search or scan products, apply discounts and promo codes, and complete a sale in seconds on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Barcode scanning

Scan with a USB scanner, a phone or tablet camera, or weighing-scale labels that carry the weight in the barcode.

  • Split payments

Take cash, card and other methods in one sale, and record exactly how each customer paid.

  • Receipts and invoices

Print receipts on 58mm or 80mm thermal paper or A4, or send them by email or SMS. Turn quotations into sales and PDF invoices.

  • Held sales and returns

Park a sale and finish it later, and take returns at the till that put items straight back into stock.

  • Cash register

Open and close the register, record cash in and out, and see what the drawer should hold at the end of each shift.

  • Customers and loyalty

Keep customer records and balances, and reward repeat buyers with loyalty points they spend at the till.

  • Keeps selling offline

If the internet drops while you sell, ArmPOS keeps recording sales on the device and syncs them when you're back online.

Inventory management features

Know what you have, where it is and what it's worth, in every shop and warehouse. Your stock updates itself as you sell, buy, return and transfer.

  • Multi-branch inventory

Track stock in every shop and warehouse, down to the rack, from one account.

  • Stock transfers

Move stock between branches with transfers that need approval, so every item is accounted for.

  • Low stock alerts

Set an alert quantity per product, and the bell, the dashboard and the quantity alerts report show what to reorder in each branch.

  • Purchases and suppliers

Raise purchase orders, receive stock into the right warehouse and track what you owe each supplier.

  • Batches and expiry dates

Track batches with expiry dates and sell the earliest-expiring stock first, for pharmacies and food businesses.

  • Serial and IMEI numbers

Record serial or IMEI numbers for phones and electronics, and trace every unit from purchase to sale.

  • Variants and units

Sell in sizes and colours, by the pack or by the piece, with unit conversions handled for you.

  • Counts and adjustments

Download a count sheet by warehouse and category, then record adjustments and damages so your records match the shelf.

Run the whole business

Beyond the till: your online shop, your accounts, your team and the tools you already use, in the same system as your sales and stock.

  • Your online shop

Your own web shop with collections and banners. Customers pay by card or cash on delivery, and orders come from the same stock.

  • Accounting and profit

Expenses, cash and bank accounts, profit and loss, and a full accounting module with journals, a trial balance and a balance sheet.

  • About 60 reports

Sales, payments, tax, customers, suppliers, staff and inventory reports, including stock value, ageing and expiry, to print or export.

  • Staff and permissions

Give each person their own login and decide what they can see and do. Keep shifts, leave and attendance records too.

  • Integrations

Sync products, stock and orders with WooCommerce and Shopify, and send your sales to QuickBooks as invoices.

  • Messages and campaigns

Send invoices and marketing campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp to bring customers back.

  • Hardware that fits

Works with USB barcode scanners, 58mm and 80mm receipt printers, label printers, a customer display and cash drawers through QZ Tray, or simply the phone you already have.

  • Kitchen display

Send orders from the till straight to a kitchen screen, so cafés and takeaways prepare them in order without paper tickets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best POS software for a shop in Sudan?
ArmPOS fits a Sudanese shop: it runs on the phone you have and keeps up with prices that change often. A weak or lost connection doesn't stop a till that is already open. The sales stay on the phone and reach your account when the signal returns, as long as the device stays on.
The customer's banking app fails at the counter. What do I do?
Hold the sale and serve the next customer, then finish it once the transfer has gone through. If the app stays down, the customer can pay in notes or split the bill between notes and a transfer. The goods wait on the held sale instead of going back to the shelf.
I sell sugar by the sack and by the kilo. Will my stock stay right?
Yes. Make the sack the buying unit and the kilo a selling unit, with 50 kilos to the sack, and ArmPOS converts between them. A shopkeeper who takes a whole sack and a neighbour who takes two kilos both come off the same count.
Regulars buy on account. How do I know what each one owes?
Sell on the customer's account, and the amount joins their balance until they clear it, at once or in parts. A credit limit on each account stops the cashier from selling past it. To see every open balance at once, open the customers report.
Can my cashier work in Arabic while I use English?
Yes. Set the counter tablet to Arabic and its screens run from right to left, while your laptop stays in English. The language is saved on each device, so whoever signs in at the counter sees Arabic there.
How do I keep track of what I owe each supplier?
Record each delivery as a purchase from that supplier and receive it into the right store, so the count rises by what actually arrived. Whatever you pay the supplier comes off the balance, and the suppliers report shows what is left for each one.
How do I pay for ArmPOS from Sudan?
A paid plan goes on your card as a US dollar charge. Each plan on this page is shown in dollars too, so the figure you read is the one your card is charged, whatever the pound does. Starter is a free plan that never asks for a card. For the paid plans, compare the plan cards on this page.
How do I count a store full of sacks and cartons?
Download a count sheet for the store by category, count what is really there and enter the figures, and ArmPOS adjusts the stock. Torn sacks and wet cartons are written off as damages on their own, so you can tell spoilage from shortage.
