By the end you will have recorded a salary payment to an employee, and you will know what it does to your accounts and your profit.
Payroll comes with HR, which some plans include. See Employees.
Pay an employee
Each payroll is one payment to one employee, for the amount you type.
- Open HRM › Payroll and click Create.
- Check the Date and pick the Employee.
- Type the Amount. ArmPOS doesn't work it out from the salary on the employee's profile.
- Pick the Payment choice, such as Cash or bank transfer.
- Pick the Account it is paid from, if you keep accounts: the amount is taken off that account's balance.
- Add the Receiver Account Number and the Payment Reference Number for a bank payment, and attach a payslip or receipt under Upload Documents if you like.
- Click Submit.

Editing or deleting a payroll puts its amount back on the account.
Payroll and your figures
A payroll isn't an expense: Reports › Profit and Loss and Reports › Expense Report don't count it. To see salaries in your profit, record each month's salaries as an expense in a Salaries category too: see Record an expense. Choose an account on only one of the two, or the money leaves the account twice.
